What we collect

When you read the site

We don't run analytics or advertising trackers, and we don't set cookies of our own. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, time of request) for security and to keep the site running.

When you sign up for the newsletter

We keep your email address and the page you signed up from, and use them only to send the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We never sell or share your address.

When you email us

We keep your message and address so we can reply. That's it.

Other companies involved

  • Amazon: when you click through to Amazon, Amazon may set cookies to credit the sale to us. What happens on Amazon is covered by Amazon's own privacy notice.
  • Pinterest: the Save button opens Pinterest in a new window. We don't load Pinterest's script on our pages, so Pinterest only hears from you if you click it.
  • Vercel: hosting.

Your choices

  • You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time. Our pages work fine without them.
  • You can unsubscribe from the newsletter from any email.
  • You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@vanityjournal.com. We'll answer within 30 days.

Depending on where you live (California and several other US states, the EU and the UK, for example), you may have additional rights over your data. We honor those requests from everyone, wherever they live.

Kids

This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
